Lunghwa University of Science and Technology Gaiabit shines as it clinches the first prize in the Guangxi-Taiwan University Student Entrepreneurship Competition
The entrepreneurial team "Gaiabit Fuzzy Focus" composed of students Shen Yukai, Wang Wenlong, Cai Zichen, Huang Yage, Lin Shengkai, and Li Guanlin, guided by Assistant Professor Wang Yusheng from the department and Mr. Li Peiqiao, the Director of Shuguang Networks Co., Ltd., traveled to mainland China to participate in the third Guangxi-Taiwan University Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition. They received the highest score in the final competition and were honored with the first prize, showcasing exceptional performance.
In the final competition, the team ingeniously combined live streaming technology with coffee culture, creating a new and immersive sales experience. The team presented the unique features of their entrepreneurial project to the judges using short videos. The Guangxi-Taiwan University Student Entrepreneurship Competition had only two teams awarded the first prize, and Gaiabit Fuzzy Focus received the highest score among them.
The competition, which started in 2021, aims to deepen industry-academia collaboration and promote two-way exchanges of digital economy talents between Guangxi and Taiwan. The competition attracted thousands of entrepreneurial teams and projects from both regions, with 51 teams selected for the semi-finals and 26 advancing to the final.
During the final competition, Gaiabit Fuzzy Focus cleverly integrated live streaming technology with coffee culture, creating a unique sales experience. The team showcased coconut lattes and Americanos, interacted with the audience, and made product sales more appealing. This innovative approach not only attracted a large audience but also enhanced the team's market trend insight and technical application capabilities.
The team's performance during the live streaming session was outstanding, featuring lively dances, enthusiastic audience interaction, and excellent visual design. They effectively introduced their products and combined elements of live streaming sales techniques seen before, making Gaiabit Fuzzy Focus stand out from the final competition teams.
Wang Wenlong, the CEO of the team, mentioned that participating in the competition in mainland China was not just a contest but also a profound cultural experience and self-discovery journey. It was the team members' first time leaving Taiwan, and they were excited to experience different cultures and business environments.
